Indian astrology
According to Indian astrology our world is made up
of various combination of energies. In the evaluation of horoscopes under
Indian astrology, the blending of energies is taken into consideration,
which can combine in an infinite variety of ways. Each one of us is
comprised of a combination of energies, which makes up the sum total of our
being.
In keeping with Vedic science, each of us is created by a particular
combination of planetary gravitational pulls exercised in different degrees,
from different angles, and in different quantities. The immeasurability of
possible combinations accounts for the variety of personalities,
mentalities, physiques, as well as emotional and intellectual formations.
When an event begins, the planetary disposition at the time is represented
in the form of a horoscopic chart or Solar Return chart, which is brought
into play to decipher the destiny of that event. Indian astrology is
popularly known as Jyotish Shastra or Vedic Astrology. A major branch of
astrology practiced in India is based on a sidereal zodiac, rather than a
tropical one. Indian astrology uses the twelve constellations from
Babylonian astrology, besides, also has an additional "lunar"
zodiac based on 27 lunar constellations or Nakshatras. These constellations
are based on the estimated number of days that the Moon takes to complete
its rotation cycle relative to the stars. The Vimshottari dasa system is a
predictive used in the Indian astrology that begins with the Moon's position
through the lunar signs. The Moon in these lunar signs is also used in
Muhurta, the Indian method of choosing the auspicious time to carry out any
Job.
